However, I haven't downloaded a single design yet because they are simply not to my taste. However - I find I am champing at the bit for the Adorable Applique freebies when they change each day. (I've stitched todays little girl already!)

Isn't it a good job we are all different?

This is worth a question by itself if you are having trouble. They have been fine for me.

Thank you for that link - there are some excellent designs!

Did you see the madonna from Sofia and Kitty/ Advanced Embroidery (design 25)?
This looks so wonderful and it fits in my 5x7hoop :o) Only wish I had a machine that cuts the thread by themself...

Thanks so much for sharing this site. I love the State Flowers offered on this site & they will make a beautiful quilt. Also love the butterflies.

I too love cross stitch both by hand and machine. The designs are great for children. I also would like to see some designs that would be good for older individuals. I would like to see some bookmark designs on all the sites by Veronika.

I have found that most aren't my taste either and I have become more choosy lately with what I download.

Thank goodness we are all so different - how boring the world would be. The designs on the x stitch are also not to my taste and unfortunately they are all for larger hoops. I also love the applique site.

I download all of them and save them on my external hard drive in a folder. Never know when I might need that very design for something someday. And if not well they are free.

I love the cross stitch and the applique but have only downloaded the cross stitch. It would be nice to have more adult xstitch though

Haven't found too much in the cross stitch, but do love the applique. Have done some very lovely cross stitch designs from Jenny's...that's what makes the world go round, we are all different...

Same to me (good for my purse - one temptation less :o)
I like cross stitch but the design should be in that style (and not any motiv changed into cross stitch). I love the little country girls from monday but this kind of design I prefer in a full stitch (and nobody knows where i can get them :o(.
Was searching there for some of the classical rose-designs in cross-stitch or words but didn't find anything.
Love the applique designs but my janome didn't get the lines too often so the fabric slipps out of the satin stitch and ruined the hole embroidery :o(
Greetings, Bettina

I am not too much into xstitch, I think Miss Veronika gives us all something we like across the board so thanks. Hugs Sally

Hmmmmm what did my grandmother use to say? Different strokes for different folks. That's what makes the world go round. People are different with different tastes. I think your tastes in cross stitch run like mine Sue, but on the other hand I love doing the cutsy ones for my great grands clothes & dish towels etc./Lillian

Yes, I completely agree. I am also not too pleased with
the new x-stitch designs (maybe I already have enough in
my folders?) but also like applique. Maria

I understand completely where you are coming from Sue.
There are many beautiful cross stitch designs available but I find I am very selective when it comes to downloading them, hence it is my smallest folder as there just aren't enough that I really like.
Hugs n roses, Meganne

I'm quite selective with all types of design now. When I began, I had to have everything in sight - whether I might use it or not!

lindalee757 by lindalee757 23 Jun 2011

me too Sue-I was like a kid in a candy store-then when I started going through all the designs I had downloaded-and foolishly did NOT sort as I went-found I had an awful pile of designs that I really didn't want or even like after 2nd inspection lol. Now I am more selective also.

Yes it is good that we are all different and we have different likes an dislikes. This would be such a boring world if we were all alike. There would not be any reason to show what we all create with our wonderful free designs. Have a great day and just maybe you will find a design one day that you like. Be patient and good things come to those that wait.
