make her a red cape with something in keeping with this theme on it. Does anyone have any ideas. I don't need designs, just ideas.

Heavens, I have a gorgeous red cape that I've never worn. It is made of thick red satin. The neckline, down the front and right around the hemline is trimmed with a longish, thick, rich red artificial fur.
It does up with a single hidden button at the neckline. OH, the neckline also has a small frill of satin inside the fur trim where you can't see it.

To make a cape you just need to cut out a large circle of fabric, slice straight up to the centre on one side, from the centre point you mark and cut out, a smaller circle for the neck, making sure it is not too large because when you finish off the neck edge it will reduce by your seam allowance, regardless of how you finish it off.

>At the point where the neck edge becomes the front opening you can even make it a nice curve instead of the straight edges.

I'm sure this is as clear as mud but you didn't specify what KIND of help you needed. LOL!!!

A red cape such as this you wouldn't require anything else on it, but you could probably make a devil's trident on a broom handle and a set of red horns for her to wear.

Sounds like fun, wish I was young enough to do all these crazy things the young ones get up to theses days.

Wish her well from me.
Hugs n roses, Meganne

Thanks Meg, it is very clear, not much different from a full swing skirt, I have made those for my belly dancing. I did manage to buy a costume cape from the toy store but it is not all that nice. I should probably make a nice satin one the way you have described.
I might go with a little devil picture on the back.
I do like the idea of the pitchfork in hubbies butt. hehehe.

.... :} Hi Alice - have a look at Veronika's Designs here in Cute Embroidery, p 32 second line down .....

http://designs.cuteembroidery.com...
You might be able to use this on the back of her cape, or one each side of the front, one flipped to mirror the other.

It's tagged Halloween and Anime. I didn't even know there was an Anime section. Too bad I can't figure out a way to use her tags in the designs section.

I figured it out. The all tags link at the bottom of the tags works now. Yay!

If you have any Halloween designs or Google Devil or Halloween as a subject you might find something cute. Good luck with this. At least you have something to do now and we can stop yelling at you to get busy. lol
