concerned was too large. I can tell you all that the troops and spouses left behind will appreciate these ribbons. We always remember those who deploy but I ask you to please remember the family members left behind also. Some of my ideas for the ribbon included giving them to our teens when they go on class trips or for those who are going to be Springbreakers. Many have spouses who travel for their jobs, even friends and neighbors going on vacations. Just a reminder, I used organza when I made mine so I could cut out around the outline and be sure it would hold together.

I thank you for your original idea! I used the design Awareness Ribbon Applique.zip. From www.embrodiery-boutique.com. There were 3 different designs. I chose the pink ribbon. I used red thread in both needle and bobbin and just stitched the outline on the Navy felt. Then added the Come Home Safe! in white. It is W 2.08 X H 3.87. Maureen

Thank you, it was a pleasure to digitise one. Someone (sorry I don't remember the name) suggested using felt in the right colour and embroidering just the outline and the words. I therefore made sure the connection stitches don't show when the filling stitches are omitted. It would speed up making lots of them.
