Alice, relax and enjoy the rain; it can be soothing, no matter what you choose to do! Since I was a little girl, over half a century ago, I have loved the pitterpatter of raindrops and the cool breeze off them. I, actually, like to walk in the rain! As, Katydid says, here in GA, we can use a lot of rain, as we are still in a drought and need relief from the high temps! Sometimes rest and a rainy day is better than any medicine! Enjoy!
Angel
Angel we were in a drought last year so they saved all the water in the dam, then the rain came and came and came. They had to let some water out of the dam and I think it was about 75% of Queensland was flooded. Fortunately we did not get flooded where we are, but it was just awful to watch what people were going through. So the moral of the story is the rain will come sooner or later.
oh , Alice we are so hot her in GA USA. We have had some rain but not enough to keep my tomato plants happy Cheer up sweetie!!
Alice,Its raining here in northern ontario to and between on here and reasing my book i to feel lazy lol hugs carolyn
My book is upstairs beside my bed, so I will resist going up to get it because I have to get some work done.
Alice, Just went outside and it has turned cold with the wind, and after the fairly warm night. Not raining in Redcliffe at the moment but has been. wish I could curl up with a book but I am at work...Hugs Sally
The weather is a bit weird. we get one mild day then one cold one then a nice sunny one and another cold one. I am theoretically at work too. So I won't be tempted by my book.
The skies opened up again hear (4 hours ago) with and inch and a half (38.1 mm)of rain fall in less than 40 minutes. My daughter was trying to look at her car to see if the hail had caused any dents but it is still raining. Again we are under flood advisory. Crappy day here. Enjoy that book. How is the devil items coming along for your daughters hen night?
I still have not decided exactly what to do. I had a bit of a rough week last week and got nothing done but a whole lot of crying. I am now trying to catch up with some mundane things that should have been done last week.
I hope it stops raining for you. I don't think it will flood here again. I am sure it would break the spirit of the Brisbane people if it did. fortunately we did not get floods where I am.
Sorry it was such a bad week for you. Hope you were able to get things sorted out.
you could stop half way and visit me in the Blue Mountains , it looks like its going to be a nice sunny day here too.
I'll come up then, and we'll all meet halfway and enjoy the lovely view you probably have as well :)
The Blue mountains sounds great. I have never been there. I have not been to Melbourne either. I have only seen the airport on the way through.
Sounds like time you did a little travelling then, Alice :) Wouldn't a sewing retreat at a caravan park about half way between all of us be good fun?
sounds like a great idea ,I love to take my machine when we travel in our van,I get lots done.last week we were out in Dubbo ,I got 2 quilts finished
Good heavens, you girls are amazing, I am not quite sure how I would pack up my two huge multi-needles, but my husband and I have talked about it a bit. I suppose it could be doable. Blue mountains does sound like and exquisite destination.
Head South, Alice, and have a cuppa with me! It's a very chilly start to the day, but the sun is shining beautifully so it's nice to look at from inside!
