Thank You, Libster, for the advance notice. This is why . I purchase a debit card from my bank to use on the internet to purchase designs etc. A flower for you.
thanks for bringing this to everyones attention. I get that here and also at work - we all need to be reminded to be very careful.
Thanks for bring it up. My husband just set up an account. I have also heard of people getting email similar to this about bank accounts. Why can't people earn their living honestly!
Yes - it does happen with bank accounts too. I get these at work all of the time stating that someone had tried to access my account - sorry don't have one there! If the people doing this spent half as much time at a real job they would probably be richer than they are with these scams.
Thank you libster for your advice but this doesn't happen only with paypal but many banks. I received an email today that looks the same way that my bank but it wasn't from it, telling me to go to the link and update my profile. I knew it wasn't my bank but many people doesn't. So everybody has to be really careful with all these email's things. Flower and XoXo
Sadly one has to be very careful with any transactions over the net. PayPal must be one of the biggest merchants, thanks for the reminders as it is so easy to slip up on these things. I hear Ebay is going to be purchase by PayPal only from June onwards this year, so good bye to Ebay for me....Oh no NO More Ebay Queen....
Thank you. that is gr8 to know because that is the way I purchase online and have had NO problems yet and wish for non. I never received such e-mail, as of yet, but will not reply now. A bouquet for you for that one.
Thanks libby, your post could save a lot of grief. Hugs and a flower.
Thanks, I use paypal also. i also received some thing from bank america card to up date information which I deleted without opening. thanks for keeping us alerted.
As many of us download designs, I thought some of you, like myself use paypal for the non-freebies. Myself and a few people I kow who use paypal have recently recieved email telling us we need to update our account details within 72 hours or our accounts will be suspended. It is advised within the email to click the link to paypal. This is a phishing scam and the email should be ignored - DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK. Simply forward the email to spoof@paypal.com and they will investigate the email. If you get one of these emails, and do not reply, they will keep sending them as reminders. I have had them before. Just keep forwarding to paypal and deleting them.
Thank you so much for the information. I use pay-pal alot. the other day I got an e-mail , that was saying that you can use pay-pal on accounts that are not set up for them. I did not read it, just deleted it. I have not gotten this one yet.
Thanks again. and here is a * 4 U
