Was your trip successful? Brought home some stuff for your sewingroom?
Greetings, Bettina
Here is the rest of my ideas for using IKEA-stuff:
* This is the pic of the IRIS roller apron. Just didn't find them actually on the IKEA-webpage but maybe you can find something like this in another store :o) Used the RW-fairies from emblibrary.
* The placemats give nice little presents. Sometimes they have them in orange (> Halloween-designs!).
* Nice gift for kids is the small thermos jug called HÄLSA with a cover (I loved that rabbit :o). Just think on a little bit of tape or glue at the inside make sure that the bottle don't slip out or make it with a bottom.
So, now my head is empty *lol*

Hello, now the longer english version ;o)
I always buy the Grönö-lamps (made the fabric-covers for them). You find them in the projects.
* Iris is a plain white roller apron whith big section so you can hoop it without problems. (Will upload the pic of Iris later; did not find it right now in our 30.000 pics :o)
* Polarvide is a fleece-plaid. I made slip-overs and warm trousers for the kids and also an Advent calender (in Germany the kids get a little chocolate or gift on the last 24days to christmas) and hany-bags. Also wonderful for fancy dresses cause it is cheap and warm (when you stand in the cold with the kids waiting for the carnival parade> a kind of mardi gras).
* Terrycloth towels are wonderful for in-the-hoop heatanimals (> p.e. flipper frog/ olli owl from GG design). I fill them with cherrypipes cause the fabric is thick and the cherry pipes get hotter than grape pipes. You can also fill them withthese little plastic-balls so kids can play in the bath with them (same as they use for the pilow to put your head on in the bath tub).
Don't miss the fabric-corner or just the bed-linen (somethimes this is the cheaper choice).
Hope I give you some inspirationa and wish you a happy day at Ikea, enjoy the meatballs :o)

Hallo Susanne,
Will translate it later for the english-speakers; sorry I'm in a hurry...
Greetings, Bettina
Danke, Thank you Bettina - will have a cup of ? thinking of you.
What are you using the Iris window thing for? Hope to get some Gröno lamps - Bettina and others do lovely covers for them - and get my hands on some Frottee = terrycloth towels for ITH animals.
