Sorry to report that Cricut has sent a cease and desist to SCAL and Make the cut. If you have the programs you can still use them as long as you don’t update your program.
It’s my understanding that it has to do with reverse engineered their programs or something like that, along with copy write laws being broken.

If you have another cutter, you can still buy and use the programs.
Sure Cuts A Lot 3 has the same great features of Version 2 but includes support for a variety of electronic cutting machines. While version 3 does not support the Cricut™, it does support the following:
Works with Craftwell eCraft™
Works with Black Cat Cougar/Lynx™
Works with BossKut Gazelle™
Works with Pazzles Inspiration™
Works with Silhouette SD™
Works with USCutter™
Works with Craft ROBO/Graphtec™ machines including Wishblade™ (Windows Only)
Thanks so much for the info. I was looking at the Silhouette SD. Sounds like what I need. Again, thanks for the info.
I have Make the Cut and I love it. It works the same as SCAL but to me is easier to design and work with.
I know a lot of people who are selling their C and going with a different machine. I'm holding out til mine wares out.
Yes--I've done it before--really easy. I too have the Sure Cuts Alot program ($29), and create my own designs, or scan to create the JPEG.
Yes. There is a program called Sure-Cuts-ALot. It loads to your computer and talks to the Cricut. You just have to have any random Cricut Cartridge in the Designated slot and it will cut whatever you create in the program.
I use this program for all of my Cricut cutting. Haven't purchased a cricut cartridge a long time.
Was at a demonstration for the Cricut Cutter and yes you can. Found this link but there are probably more on the internet. I don't own one but happened upon the demonstration and there is a lot you can do with one. If my kids were still in school I probably would have one.
Thanks so much for the website. Looks so easy. Again, thanks for the info.
