Has anyone ever tried couching a thread in to an embroidery design before? If so, which kind of design works the best? I would like to try it with pearl cotton. Tell me what you learned. Thanks!

Yes I have and it´s calling "THREAD VELVET" from HUS
I made this but I´m not sure what it will be, maybe a scarf or sleevs, it´s embroidery on flees.

YES!! That is exactly what I had in mind. If you know of any good tutorials, I would be very interested. This could be a very fun and creative project!! What kind of foot did you use for your project? And was this a redwork design, or something specifically developed for couching? It is very beautiful!

I bought a set from Husqvarna which includes 2 feet, 2 sets of yarn guides, yarn threader, sample of yarn and CD with an instruction movie and one free design, then I bought a CD with Thread Velvet designs and this is one of them.

Thank you for the link. I'm excited now. I believe that our machines can go further than just plain embroidery. We are limited by our imagination. This is awesome. Thank you!. :)
