HELP!!! I bought a Janome 11000 a few months thinking that I could do some larger letter monograming and realized after I got it that I could not. Now I am looking for software that will not break

Paula, did you get your machine from a dealer? They certainly should be able to help you use the machine & programs you purchased. Customizer is quite a good program, I'm not sure you need to purchase another one, just learn to use the features you have. If your dealer won't help you, go to the Janome site, there are tutorials for Customizer and Digitizer Pro there. When I got my Janome, I got all the free lessons on the machine & software I wanted from my dealer. I think getting a good dealer is just as important as getting a good machine, for the support and information they provide. Good luck! Marji

Hi Paula, first of all did you get digitizer pro with your 1100? if not and you want to change fonts or make them bigger---I would surgest Embird---wonderful programme. Easy to use and, as ruthie says, you can add whenever you want to I have digitizer 2000 but, if I had known about Embird then I wouldn't have bought it. So check out your digitizer pro as this enables you to also send designs to your machine if you are not using wireless or a memnry stick. The possibilities are endless. You have a 4x4 hoop which is what most alphabets are used for then there is the 8x8 and 8x11. So if you just want the alphabet you use the 8x11 and just make it larger in Embird and then you can also join to make a up a phrase or whatever. I can send you something I did so you can see. I also freelance for Janome here in CT If you want to email me off the list you can just let me know. But I think Embird might be the route to go, but look at your prices.

THANKS everyone for the help I just love this site and looking at all the projects everyone does. I will at the Embird site and see if I can figure it out. Yes bigdee I would like to email you but I don't know how. I do not have digitizer. And have only the 4x4 & 8x8 hoop.

First, welcome to our "Cute" family. Second, sorry, I haven't used embird either, but have done some research and from what I have heard around here it is supposed to be very good. Let us know what you get and looking forward to seeing projects you do. *4U

Paula, welcome to our *Cute* family, enjoy! I haven't used Embird so can't recommend it personally, but from what I've heard it's very good. You can buy the program as separate modules, and you can either buy their fonts ready to use, or buy the font module and use any TT font that is installed on your computer. me. I was thinking of Monogram Wizard or Plus and also I had heard a little about Embird.Would like any advice the only thing I have is Buzz Tools Plus and Janome Customizer 11000.
