Thanks Shirlene a great way to use those old T-Shirts...hugs x0x0x0
Great idea and it enlarges my to-do-list ;o)
Wonderful idea to use t-shirt from the kids that are too small.
Greetings, Bettina
After going to see it again, I have a question. How did she "finish" the top? I see that she cut it and shaped it, but I don't see her sewing or reinforcing the handles part at all. Are they that simple to make? Will the handle hold? Or will it tear? I like them!
Oh, never mind! I just finally notices that didn't have to hem it because she used the bottom of the t-shirt for that. But she still didn't reinforce the handle. Amazing! I hope you can find your Grandma's
Thanks for sharing this link! I wonder if the fabric would tear if you load it up. I think that it is a neat idea!
Thank you Shirlene, what a wonderful idea. Where on earth do you find all these amazing things? Did you by any chance notice her nail polish in one of the pictures - quite funky!!!
This is one of the best rags to riches makeover yet! Thanks!

Late as usual!! Well, I'm here now.
Hi Shirlene, thankyou for posting this link. I've just spent a looooooong, looooooooong time following up on lots of the other links, too.
What great instructions. What great photos. What a great site.
I love making bags and wish I had time.....no! that's not true... I Do have the time but I spend it here reading all the interesting messages and chasing up links!!!
It's a nasty day but I'm really, really tempted to climb out from under my warm knee rug, leave the warm wall heater and this nice warm room and go and make one of those bags right now...... but then, I found the bags with bamboo handles.... and then, I found the bags with upholstery piping handles and .... Oh Wow!!! did you see the orange and white painted t-shirt hat???? :} ..... if I can find some space on the cutting table I do feel a sewing session coming on. :} :} :}
But.... then I remembered that I'd better go back and thank you for steering me in this direction.
So, thanks again for a great beginning to my Sunday morning.

I loved this when I saw it - then remembered as I was reading through some of your post - that my Grandmother had a bag - that she used to use - when she was visiting - that was made of leather - it had a snap closure on it and made just like this with a seam. I will have to look for that - I am sure that my Mother (Miss Loretta) gave it to me.
even if you don't cut the holes - these bags would be great - to hold things in and make it easier to have more than one in another bag - when you go shopping.
shirlene, how cute and so simple. just gave a bunch of tshirts away, wish i could ask for them back. haha. have to check my locker and see what i can use, this is so clever. i can think of many uses for these bags. thank you shirlene for finding this.
Shirlene, Thank You I have bookmarked this site so that I can go back again and again.
