I've cupboards filled with fabric. Some of them too beautiful to cut up. Some I now wonder why I ever bought them, too inexpensive to leave them in the shop. But joining an FA chapter, I don't think so. Never to buy a lovely piece when I see one, unthinkable!
guess this is what happened to the lady I met in St. Augustine last week that is going to give me her 'extras' which she says is pretty bountiful. But then of course I'm not much better since I have a stash of my own. Every now and then I actually pull my stacks down and resort them in color groups. I kinda feel like the witch on 'oz' as I mumble to myself, "Come to me my pretties...." Jeez I think I need to see someone.....:-)
LOL you know I've been know to do the same thing, Get that Lady's stash while she's offering it
Everytime I go into Joanns or my local fabric shops, I meet people like us, fabraholics/fabric hoarders. We meet in line at the check out and discuss our prospective projects which we know will never get completed...rather like my collection of embroidery designs...I keep telling myself that it is OK to collect projects for my retirement and I don't get to die before I finish them all...I guess I get to live to be 200, huh?
Okay ladies, be honest - if there was a *Fabrics Anonymous* - would you really join it? You'd have to give up buying fabric, haha!!! Hugs and a flower for you lbrow sweetie.
You are an addict like the rest of us. My daughter says she will have one on those trash bins delivered in my driveway to get rid of my "treasures".
We are fabric aholics. Are there any FA meetings out there for us I wonder?!?! LOL *4U ><>
Girls, I guess I'll have to be there with you all. I have enogh fabric and yarn to start a small bussiness with. goning to part with any,you bet not!!!I just keep collecting and dreaming some day when I have more time I'll do something. Until then-----Warm hugs and flowers to all
Lbrow, If there is a FA , I will be one of the charter members. I can always find some new fabric that I HAVE TO HAVE. & always checking out the ends of bolts. Well the way I look at it I would rather have it just in case. You think we could start a chapter? A piece of fabric ( flower ) for you.
You know I dont think it would do any good. On my way to meeting I would be checking for fabric stores lol. When I die my kids will have a hey day.
you should leave a note for whoever handles your things - to take them all to you favorite quilt shop and I know they will find a home for them, maybe even turn them into a remembrance quilt!
Now that's a good idea. Kina hope that quilt making G. daughter will take over though & use what I never get around to
I've fabric running out of my ears & keep buying more. What's a girl to do? Is there a fabrics Anonymous for people like me? Help
