Kira's post got me to thinking. Have u noted that sewing people tend to stay married? I mean quilters, crafters, embroideriers, stay at home type hobbies. Maybe we r too busy to get in trouble LOL

I think we just made good choices and we stick to it!!! However, certain personalities tend to choose specific paths. We will be married 43 yrs. come November.

Should have also said - a willingness to both work at the relationship. TRUST is my key to any relationsip.

I wouldn't agree with Kira's post at all!... I've been divorced while in the middle of craft projects... so nope, don't buy it. ;-)

Well, we may not itch to get our kicks elsewhere, so that's temptation out of the way, we can be a bit anti social at times: forgetting the time, meals not ready when DH likes it at rather precise times, refusing to go for a walk because we're too busy. But DH kept up with me for 43 1/2 years, so I must have been doing something right. Or he is the most loving man on earth. Hehehe.

You might have a point, I think that crafters are usually happy at home quilting, sewing etc. and not worried about trying to impress other people or trying to 'catch the eye' of some co-worker for a little esteem boost. They get their satisfaction from completing a project. I know my dh told me when he got me my new machine "this will keep you off the streets at night!" with a twinkle in his eye. I don't ride at night and prefer to stay home away from the boogie man. :-)

lbrow, I can't find kira's post, it's gone AWOL, haha! But I've never thought about *crafty* people staying together, but you might have a point. My DH and I have both done craftwork - his, hers and ours, all our married life and we're still very happily married after almost 40 years. And I don't know about the *being too busy to get in trouble* part - my DH reckons that I was probably born with an *I'm up to mischief* look on my face - and he insists that it's still there, haha!!! Hugs and a flower for you sweetie.
