What do you do to relax????

72397

by elizabethak 21 Jul 2011

Sleep, watch TV (mindless stuff where I'm not concentrating) knit and sew! Being a go-go-go person(even the way I drive) anything where I'm sitting down is relaxing. The joke at the quilters guild was anything I could take to bed I would, even my sewing machine. I have an elna press and even tried that! So relaxing means doing NOTHING! When????.........

Any craft activity relaxes me, unless something goes wrong with it. He, he.

Relax? Rum? hee hee hee
Just to help "travis", here is a picture of the Calico cat from Embroidery Library I was talking about that looks quite a bit like your avatar. I couldn't add it under the comment, but she's so pretty I couldn't resist. Hugs, Marji

Use my embroidery machine and look after the orchids I grow. Plus see my grandson Twm or have him here.

Go see my grandchildren that live an hr. away. I sew/embroider or some kind of craft, and the granddaughter that's here comes over and we play snakes & ladders (I changed the rules one day - you go up & down both - created a lot of laughter) or toss a balloon back and forth. Or sometimes just to go for a drive (with hubby of course - that way I get to look around!), go "window" shopping.

Embroidery Library has some GREAT cats, not free of course, but one that looks a lot like DeVon's avatar. Look under Animals of Land, Cats on their website. Just for the heck of it, put the cat in your basket when you find it--when I did I found it came up a sale price of $1. Wow! Of course I bought it, but the sale wasn't listed anywhere. Good luck, hugs, Marji

Digitise, though my family calls it an addiction I find it relaxing. When I'm tired I take a rest and read.

I find something on the animal planet channel on TV and watch them rescue kitties and puppies, or catch alligators!

Gardening and sewing are my relaxation. Unfortuately I have to stretch afterwards to work out all the kinks I get from being stooped over or sitting! Bad back makes relaxing hard to do lately. :(

Devon, your cupcakes are so colorful and tasty looking! I TAKE a day, if I truly feel the need to
unwind and have a change of pace in my daily hectic routine of trying to "do it ALL"! I plan a pedicure, an unrushed (no time limit) browsing my favorite shops for awhile, eat lunch at MY favorite place, then head home for a restful nap to end my pleasant day! I, actually, tell my family that the cook and housekeeper are OFF today, everyone fends for themselves!! We ALL need to slow down and "smell the roses" occasionally!

What is RELAX???

I don't know that word. Is it something we are supposed to do, or have?

Hmmmm! I must investigate this strange new word, I could be missing out on something.

hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
Actually I digitise, I enjoy it so much it is relaxing for me.

I also browse Ebay for goodies I can afford to buy.

Once a week I go tenpin bowling, I wish it could be more often, but it is quite expensive these days.

And the best thing I do to relax is visit with my two Cute friends Polly and now Chris, but that doesn't happen often enough either. Maybe, once I've got this house the way I want it, I'll find more time to spend with them, friends are so important.

Lastly, sorry, but it's true, time permitting, I catch up on Cute, answer emails and spend as much time as I can steal, to be with my online friends.

It isn't always in this order because I am relaxing now but have to get up and get on with this darn house. The electricians came yesterday and what was previously packed away in cupboards is now everywhere and I have to clean up the mess and put everything back where I had it.

I REALLY cannot face it today as I had leg cramps all night and I have a very sore infected toe, so all I want is tea and sympathy. hahahahahahaha!!!

I sew at work and at home. Love them both and it helps me to relax. But today I wanted to do something..... This is what I did. Made cupcakes????Why???? Me or my DH don't really eat them. Will have to take to work..
So I was thinking What do you do to relax??

My DH keeps asking why I made them. All I can say is I just wanted to.
