From her home page you need to click on "Monthly Studio Digitizing Lessons" And you will find the download at the bottom of the page next to the cartoon computer reading a book.

NOW, I don't know if the new tutorial is free to the general public, or only for members of her group, so if you follow the instructions and can't access the tutorial page, you will know it is only for members.

Either way, if you download the tutorial and use it, please write to Kathy and thank her for taking the time to create it and so generously share it with others.

Kathy also has many other helpful hints, tips and free downloads so you should browse the homepage while you are there.

The tutorial tells you how to create new files, but making up categories is your own choice. It's simple for your own designs, but if you want to know where it was bought(or gotten as a freebie) - and I want to keep that sort of info - you'll have to add something to your file name (and remember your codes).

Thanks Martine, I didn't have time to look at it but I figured anything that Kathy would do would be far better than having no instruction at all.

I am soooooooo glad I started organising my designs on a month or so after I started collecting them.
My system is simple but it works for me and I have never misplaced a design yet. (touch wood!!!) LOL!!!!
hugs n love, Meg

I'm downloading the file but I've been doing this from almost the beginning. I have my designs separated into 3 files, Free Designs, Purchased Designs and Zipped files. I like to keep mine unzipped on an external drive. In free designs I separate into design categories and in Purchased & Zip, they are by site. I also keep working a working file on my laptop called Gifts to Make. I drop the designs I use or intend to use frequently or for a certain project into that file. Those are just a copy of the design so if I lost the file to a crash, it's not a big deal. My card read will not work with an external connected so I can write designs from that file. I'll have subfiles in there with a persons name for a personalized project or my biggest is labeled 'baby' with tons of my favorite baby designs.

Thanks Meg, hey what a rotten wet day - great for being inside and working!

I've nearly finished Dad's memory quilt. Just a few tweeks here and there. I've been over to visit Mum, had my eyebrows waxed and a Pedicure - beautiful!

Made a stunning vegetable bake and the kitchen still smells delicious. I want to make some Lemon Puddings. I saw Donna Haye's recipe the other day and they look yummy!

Love and blessings Chris
