I was able to purchase her membership package a couple of months ago and I'm in heaven!
I like your potholder designs. I haven't been able to find anything pre-made that isn't already designed. Usually they have the real cheap looking screen prints on them, so there is no room for embellishment. Did your machine give you any trouble sewing through all of the layers, or did you have to use a special needle? Great work!
Thanks so much!! No problems with my machine at all and I just used a 75/11 embroidery needle. I eyeballed the pot holder on WSS and pinned it in a couple of places and stitched away.
I hope you try some soon!!
Great job!!!! I love everything rooster and most things chicken. Thanks for sharing!!
Lovely work!!!! I will have to find some time to do some embroidery myself.
Thank you so much! I hope you can find time to embroidery. It's such a good dose of medicine for me to be able to embroidery something. LOL
i just came from dollar tree, after seeing these i had to do some designs. could not believe the price. two for one dollar. i usually make my own. i purchased blue and green. not many of these left. the new ones look cheap. not as much stitching and the material doesn't look as nice as these, so don't wait if you need more. yours came out great as i said before. happy shopping!
I'm so happy you went to Dollar Tree and found some goodies!! At two for a dollar, and all cotton, sure cuts down on time to just embroider and no sewing. LOL As many years as I've sewn, I was never good with bias tape.
I was so excited to stitch these that I didn't wash before stitchin'. But I've since washed them and they look pretty neat. The cotton shrunk a bit, as cotton does, but the design didn't, so now the hen and rooster look a bit 'plump'. LOL And I really like the effect.
Hoping to go shopping today.
I was thinking of making some too, do you use the same thread on the back too? Me a newbie you know...
yes if you want it to look the same as on the front. i gues you could use two different colors but make sure your tension is exact. betty
Loosie, I did use matching bobbin for these since both sides show. I stitch so much FSL that I've kinda gotten in the habit of using matching thread on everything I stitch.
Thanks for commenting!
I'm think I will make mine from scratch, we haven't a dollar tree here and the next dollar store isn't that great for great finds like the pot holders. But I will keep looking so I can save time on building and more time for embroidery...lol
Hi Sister, I'm so happy to see this post! You have done a great job! Love and hugs, Yoriko
Thank you so much, Sister! My job was easy since your designs are so perfect!!
Thank you for the happiness and joy you share with us all. I have a little chicken love story planned for my next project using these lovely designs.
The designs show up fine and centered. You did good.
i am truly amazed at the items you ladies find at dollar tree. i need to start shopping there. great designs, and they look centered to me. sometimes the lines can throw the eye off.
Our Dollar Tree is just like most. Every now and again there's some neat deals. I hope they have more of these when I get a chance to shop again. LOL

I think you're the pot holder Queen! LOL I sure had fun trying with these. When I can buy them pre-made cheaper than I can sew them, it makes me a happy camper!
Thanks so much for your sweet comments!

Those potholders are beautiful. You should send them my way since my kitchen floor is that color. I am glad you found time to get back to some stitching.

Thank you. I plan to keep practicing because my pot holders are worn out! LOL
The designs are lovely and so are your potholders!
They are super! I love roosters and chickens and these are perfect designs for potholders. *4U
Thank you so much! I love the design set and sure need some new potholders! LOL
You've won me Maryann - every time I see a Rooster, I just gotta have it! Great team effort. Love and lessings Chris
Thanks so much to you both!! I hope you can find time to stitch these and enjoy them as I do!
These are wonderful. I really don't like roosters because when I was 4, one chased me and spured me. He was a fighting rooster. But these are lovely.

That happened to my Grandpa, and that rooster ended up in the stewpot that night....LOL
Thanks so much. We had a beautiful rooster one time and he followed my daughter everywhere. They were such pals until he got older. And when he attacked her, he not longer lived with us. She was only about 6 years old and we never had chickens as pets again.
We like fried! LOL
