I am spending July and August at the family lake home in Nebraska. My avatar image is a photo of my daughter sitting on the dock here. It is just so renewing to sit and stare at the lake....

Cindy,yes we are!! my front yard is the platte river so i know how much being near the water helps the mind and body-enjoy your stay in ole NE

There is something about water. I live by the sea and the view is different every day. Enjoy the peace and quiet

A little piece of heaven....

It is relaxing to not have a care and watch the water ripples. Sounds like a pleasant place to be. If it gets too hot we will know you have taken a dip in the lake to cool off. Keep enjoying your get away as long as you can.

Yes, that's me, floating in my floaty chair, watching the fish jump nearby and the birds and dragonflies swoop...

Very nice - where in Nebraska? That is where I was born, and lived until I came to Florida to marry my DH.

The lake is in the middle of nowhere. 60 miles west of Omaha. Township of Prague. The most exciting thing the kids and I did this week was have a delivery by UPS and go to the gas station for a gallon of milk!

I went to college in York, not too far from Omaha, and grew up in Hastings. Enjoy your time away from the hussle and bussle of busy life.
