Cake anyone?
I have had a belated birthday celebration with my step kids. I received Cake, Flowers and Chocolates and some gift cards and was even shouted lunch.

BUT, what does 'shouted lunch' mean? (Treated to lunch, perhaps?) It is not an expression I have heard before.

Yes, in Australia if I ask you to come and have lunch with me at a restaurant, cafe or pub and say 'my shout' it means that I'll pay for it. Sometimes we say, "I'd like to shout your for lunch."
Among men 'your shout' means it's your turn to pay for a round of drinks.
