Hi, I don't know what operating system you have, so this may not help. I use Windows XP. In the browser bar, you should have a button called "tools", if you click that, it should give you a choice to clear your cache. Be careful before you click to clear, because there are also choices there to clear all your passwords, cookies, etc, and if you do that you're going to have to reset them.
I see your question was also cut off, so I'm putting a link to a tutorial on how to write longer questions.
Good luck, and welcome to the Cute Community! Marji
By the way, I haven't had a problem downloading anything, but the internet seems awfully slow today, and I have high-speed satellite. M
Thanks, I'll get thru this somehow, it's just not a good week to have to add anything to. Maybe you've had those "1 more thing goes wrong and I'm going to scream weeks" this one seems to be mine
This may depend on what os you are using. Something changed in my system, I have Vista, on July 17th. I could download from every site But EmbroideryLibrary. Was driving me crazy cause I knew it was a setting somewhere but where. Found it last night. It was the Protected Mode Setting in internet options under the security tab. There needs to be a check mark there. Apparently the computer gremlins raided my pc one night and changerd that setting on me! So, check your internet options. Hope you find the problem, it can be soooo frustrating! I have had computers for over 25 yrs and I still get stumped. Hugs..Carol
Thank you so much, i cleaned out the cache and now I'll look for the Protected Mode setting
Just recently it has changed for me. Before there was a screen that popped up and gave me the option to save or open. Now it just opens. There are two possible scenarios that I can think of if you are having my situation, One: If you don't have an application to open the file, it won't do anything. Two: Your internet security won't allow you to directly open a file.
Thanks, I have an application and have downloaded many time previously. Internet security? I can't seem to find any problems there, but I'll keep working on it-computers.........
Hi... I had a similar problem with Urban Threads a while back; I solved my problem by dumping my cache and rebooting my computer. Have you tried that?
