THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ANSWERS, I GAVE EACH OF YOU A FLOWER, YES I HAVE A PROGRAM TO CHANGE THE COLORS, I DO THAT A LOT , DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY EVERY COLOR THEY WANT US TO USE, THOUGHT I BETTER CHECK , SEE IF THEY ARE OK, THANKS LILDOLL
I find the colors in my software or my machine generally do not match the picture of the design on the websites. I know this is because of the different software digitzers use to make the designs and then convert them to all the different versions we use. I always try to do a PDF print of the design from the website (because not all sites provide color sheets) so I have an idea of what it looked like there - then I pick the colors I want to sew the design. I have had this happen on lots of sites - including sites that charge a bunch for their designs - but I know it is a fact of life so I don't worry too much about it.
I usually pick colours to suit to colour scheme I am embroidering for. Just open the design in your software and put in the colours you would like.
I do a test each time, still learning the ropes and I change the colors the second go around if I don't like how it turned out, my daughters like to help pick out the colors too. gets them involved.
I ordered some designs in PES and they also came in weird colors....also they don't include a color chart. So I'm a little unhappy, but the designs are cute.
Colors can be a real problem sometimes, no matter who the digitizing company is, Lildoll. I have a Janome machine, and Janome Digitizing software. The designs I get from Embroidery Library generally show up with some wierd colors, because they use Madiera rayon thread, which has more colors than the Janome palette, or even the R-A palette, so I have to decide which colors to use. Sometimes it's just a function of which software was used to digitize the design, and how your machine or software interprets the colors. You don't say which format you use, which machine, or which format you downloaded. Did you download any thread color charts with your designs? Pick the colors that are closest to those colors from your own thread stash. And give the people at AZ the chance to respond to you, please don't write them off after only a few minutes. Most places are eager to have happy customers, and make things right if they're wrong. Hugs, Marji
I haven't had any problem at all with AZ Embroidery. Have you, by any chance, customized the colors in your machine? I don't know if that would make a difference or not. I was stressing over finding the "right color" for one thing and then another, and was gently told that I can use any color I please. Maybe this will give you the liberty to play with colors and be unique! Good luck.
I've bought 2 alphas there and have no problem with the colors. Did not stitchted them until now but I have designs from some other sellers with really terrible differing colors between the shown image and what my embird shows me.
When I made my order I added a question and 30 minutes later I got a nice and friendly mail with my answer. So I've got other experiences with them in that case too.
How long did you wait for the reply to your problem? Which format did you buy?
Greetings, Bettina
PS: In the pic you see the ArtDecoFrames and the lovebugs that I've bought. One from their webside and one from my embird. Not so much difference to me (click on it and you see it better :o).
I have pes designs from them that match the pictures. How long have you given them to answer? Just because there is instant dl on the site does not mean that someone is sitting on email 24/7. Most of these are home based businesses that do other things. If they are dst, there is no color format, just a sequence of colors that separate color stops, and you have to change them in your software or on the machine.
If you don't have software, here is Marie's site with 2 different free softwares to change colors, formats.
Good luck.
Is it just the colors used you don't like? If so, just use what you like.
