Letvia, you are very very welcome!! I'm so glad I could help you out with this problem, I'll be glad to answer any digitizing questions you have if I can. Sometimes it is just some simple thing that the manual thinks is so simple you already know it & doesn't explain it very well. Flowers for you, my dear friend. Marji
Ohh dear Marji, you made my day. I could made my design without background; your explanation was great. I haven't enough words to thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Flower and XoXo
I had this problem when I digitized from photos I scanned, you always have a 'background' of some sort, because it's a scan and has boundaries. I do two things. First, in Paint (or whatever you use to clean up your scans) I turn the whole background purple, blue, orange, or some color like that so I can make sure there are no stray white or grey pixels in it. I use a color that's kind of dark, or easy to see, and a color that is not in the design. Then, if I am auto-digitizing, I let the program digitize the background color, then go to the list of colors for the design, and select the purple or whatever background color I used, and just delete the whole color. If you use a color that isn't in the design, it won't affect any of the elements in the design at all, just get rid of the background. Hope this helps, if I didn't explain it clearly enough, just give me a holler and I'll try again. Love you. Marji
Thanks for the tip, marji. I normally fiddle with the eraser function but it is not always easy to get the outlines as neat as I want to. Flower for you.
