Thanks Kay, He amazes me in rehab. I am at the hospital every day. Spent an hr. watching him in rehab yesterday. They are walking him & he is trying so hard, keeps saying "I've got to walk so I can go home" I am proud of him, he's having awful spasms in the operative leg & want ask for pain. I tell him he must./Lillian
I have only just seen this. A very happy belated birthday to Ron. Sarah.
Lillian, so glad to hear that Ron is so much better. Congrats to him on his birthday. Still keep yoy and Ron in my prayers. Love Marie
This news sounds better! I am glad you and Ron are doing better. My fan in my computer is gone and I can not keep the computer on but a few minutes or it will fry the whole computer. I have not been on very often and for less than 5 minutes at the time since my son told me what would happen to it if I continue to try and use it. I will try and call you tonight if I do not get stuck at my son's house. Seems all I do is babysit and go to the Dr. Leg is getter better(healing. My problems seem so small when ai read some of the others. You take good care of yourself so you will feel like being Ron's nurse when he gets home! Love you and will continue to keep you and Ron in my prayers! Linda
Thank you Linda, things will get better, you just hang in there. I pretty much stay with Ron all day & it is hard to catch me . Hosp is 50 miles away so I'm on the road a lot too. Much love Lillian
My dear Lillian - I am so happy to hear this news - please know I will keep you both in my prayers - the Rehab unit sounds like the best place to start - what wonderful news about the church's help, too. It's Ron's birthday today - so I am to late to wish him a good one - as I didn't see this posting until now. Take care of you and get more rest.
Lillian, what a great udate you shared with us. My husband has had both hips replaced and is doing great. He had his first done at the age of 43. I will continue to lift Ron up in prayer as well as you. Take care of yourself so when he does come home you won't be to run down. The care giver has lots to do also. God is good. Hugs, Judy
What wonderful news! Thankfully prayers were heard and God acted, and your Church sounds wonderful, too. Please take care of yourself as you take care of Ron, and hope both of you will be feeling better very soon. Love, Marji
How wonderful that you have a loving church family to help you out. Give Ron's LOTS of Cute kisses for his birthday! Take care of yourself dear Lillian. ;)
I am so glad Ron is getting better. Our prayers were answered. God is so great!!!! Happy b-day. Take care of yourself, rest as much as you can. Mary
Mary it does my heart good to see that you are coping. I know how difficult it can be/ Thank you so much/Lillian
Glad to hear that husband is in rehab. I had my hip replaced in 2007 and it was the best thing I ever did. I
was in rehab for 21 days and then home and PT came to my
house for 3 weeks. After that I went to Phy Therapy at a local hospital for 15 weeks. I just loved the massage!
When I got home from rehab I could walk without my walker.
I did keep it near by. I was driving at 8 weeks after
surgery. Lillian take care of yourself. Maureen
Thank you so much Maureen. One of thee days I am going to make it backi down to the coast./Lillian
Good news all around. I am glad he has advanced to a rehab center and that you now have a ramp so he can get into his own home. Kudos to your church members for the ramp. Now please, get your stress under control so you can get the IBS back under control.
Actually the rehab unit is on the same floor of the hosp. just on the other ened of the hall, I felt it best he start out there where all the Drs. can still be near. Not sure yet where he will end up but sure hope it will be home with home health rehab./Lillian
That is great news, Lillian...answers to prayers! :) I will continue to keep you two in my thoughts and prayers. Have a great birthday party tomorrow!
Thanks kk, we were to be in Mi. thi week for his fmly reunion in Traverse city I knew he wasn't able to go but was going to try & take him anyway. God knew we couldn't take that trip/ Lillian
Dear Lillian, so glad to hear of Ron's improvement. I shall keep you in our prayers. I know about the challenge of IBS. We have a daughter who battles with it. Take care of yourself and Happy Birthday to Ron,
Hugs Cindy B.
Thanks Cindy, I call the IBS a nurses disease because a lot of us have it by the time we are ready to retire. It really can be debilitating & painful & not a lot helps when it flares up./Lillian
Dear Lillian,
Well hopefully by now you have been to visit Ron and take him some cake and well wishes for his birthday. My Dad's name was Ron too Lillian - so your husband must be a wonderful man. I hope he is listening to his OT's and doing his exercise - it's so important to get moving as soon as possible.
God bless your church and all the men who have done that wonderful ramp - that is an amazing outpouring of love and support from your community.
You make sure you take it easy too - IBS is not a nice thing to have to deal with when you have a patient to look after. Love and blessings Chris
Thank you so much Chris, You are another I always know I can depend on/ Lillia n
Thanks Lillian for the update. I will keep him in my prayers and you too. All that stress creates havoc with the body. I hope you will get some rest tonight.
