I see you have an answer - *4U Shirlene
Look at that - you have 84
No, there isn't. You need to have digitising software and spend a lot of time to get an embroidery design.
Embird is one of the cheapest and it's great. I also own Husqvarna/Pfaff 5D which cost €1699 here in Europe, but I prefer Embird, not just for the price but for it's ease of use and the great results.
Welcome to Cute. You will find that there is always someone to answer a question. There are an amazing bunch of very talented ladies here at Cute. I do not know how I would have managed without their help. Sarah.
It looks like you're really keen to get your feet wet and get into everything all at once, Joyce! It's good that you've become active in the forum so soon and you'll continue to learn lots as you read more. I'd not be in toooo much of a hurry regarding digitising designs, as it will be quite a 'learning curve' and the more you look at individual designs, try stitching them out etc, the more you'll know. Meantime if there's something specific that interests you, do ask, and someone will direct you to where you can find designs or information. Enjoy!
There is so much to learn and so many avenues to follow. I have already picked up a lot of things here and love reading everyone's comments. I used to build websites and really got into making my own graphics. It occurred to me one day that here I was making all these graphic and had nothing to do with them. When I got into machine embroidery I got to thinking how great it would be to put some of my graphics to work. I think it will a long time before I get into digitising. :)
I believe you mean JPEG. If so I am sorry to say you can't. They are not embroidery files but picture files. Sorry. From what I understand Wilcom's truesizer is a good program to change embroidery files from one format to another.
I did mean JPEG...oops...and thank you for your answer. I was afraid of that.
Thank you *hug*
You will have to have some digitizing software. It seems like it would be that easy, but it isn't. I'm shopping around for a decent program that works without breaking the bank. There are several trial versions out there. Maybe someone else can give you some recommendations. I know that Amazing Designs has a free trial version of Digitize N Stitch and Embird has one as well. Good luck with your search.
Thanks...and yes I have searched and they are pricey :( I had looked into Embird ..wow!
Thanks again *hug*
