I want to thank all the cuties with your suggestions about the threads and really enjoyed going thru all the colors, don't know where I'm gonna store them all, any suggestions?

i like the varigated for butterflies and flowers, you never know how it will stitch out and sometimes you get stripes

All the beautiful colors, I was dazzled when mine came in before my trip to California...my machine is out of the shop today and I can't wait to get it going with my new threads...it was a great buy and thanks to all the cuties that recommended the company.

Congrats you will love the thread. I still don't have all the colors but I have the first two sets minus a few colors. I got my hubby to buy me one of the cabinets from Metro. But it will not hold but 120 spools. And I need another one. I want to get another one but it will have to busted just a thought. Have fun.

No problem, I think the clear plastic shelf might be the way to go!

I was finally able to get my metro thread - they've had it on this sale for a while and I kept my fingers crossed that it would still be on when I could get mine. Right now I am still organizing it a little differently - will show when done. I see they also now have the varigated on sale, but they don't show that one in the international order area, as I live in Canada, really good price.
You'll love it - the colors are fantastic!

Metro's thread is a great buy and you'll love the quality. If you ever have any questions or problems, contact them and they have excellent customer service. I just love their thread! I bought a container at Staples that has a top of small compartments (perfect for needles and scissors and the like). This container is clear plastic that has four drawers, so I have a blue, yellow, red, and green drawer. I also lay my laptop on top of this whenever I need to transfer a design to my Quattro. And, it didn't cost an arm and a leg and was on sale. Sales, what would we do without 'em?! Congrats!

I purchased 3 drawer storage units at Lowes. I have about 6 of them. I arranged my thread by colors, so if I'm looking for blues I can go right to the blue drawer, etc. You will love your thread! Have fun. Hugs..Carol

Yes if you have a Wal-Mart they have a stand up cabinet made of white & see thru plastic I believe they have them in black too. I have one, paid about $25 for it. I store a lot of stuff in in including threads you can put a piece of batting down on the bottom & stand them up. When you pull the drawer out you can see your thread color numbers on the top. I love storing my extra threads there & also my large spools. Its a lot nicer than buying a bunch of thread storage cases from Joann's or other stores that carry them. Besides you would have to have a place to stack them. I like this stand up cabinet as it does not take up much space has roller to put on if you need to...I didn't as mine is on carpet & next to my machine & can hold scissors, pens, marking pencils, rulers, tape measure, etc. I even have a started table top quilt in the bottom drawer. I think it has 4 or 5 drawers. Not down in my sewing room so can't see it right now. Check out the cabinet.. I planned on getting these threads too as I am going to stop using Maderia rayon because it frays to much in my machine. Lots of the gals & even a digitizer in WA tells me she uses the polyester & has used red on an apron she wears with the words WHAT EVER on it and has gotten speg sauce on the apron & has bleached the apron about 4 times & the thread did not run or fade out. Sounds like polyester is the way to go. Thanks for letting us know the Metro is on sale. Going to get mine today too.
