this photo shows the results of my experiment with the soda ash.

A- just printed onto paper.
B- printed onto cotton but well washed with Bio powder.
C- just washed in water.
result no bleeding of ink at all.
dolls house quilts here i come. attic window that too.

I love this idea, Have bought the paper and soda ash from Coles supermarket in Tamworth. I see the black ink design, have you tried with colours and how did it go? hugs Helen

Helen.
look in the projects and you will find a small quilt that was printed out and then sewn the colours are nice and clean. so no problem with it. just make sure you have at least one inch header before the fabric and that NO LOOSE THREADS ARE HANGING TO CATCH THE ROLLERS. I USED A ROLLER BLADE TO MAKE A CLEAN CUT EDGE.
