I've downloaded the book of quilt designs and also the wallpapers and fabrics which is a good start. Can anyone point me towards anything else that will help me along?

Err just wondered if you were going to the minature
show at the NEC in september I will be there on saturday 24th september and meeting up with a member of my own group who is coming over from Australia for a holiday.
If you get some Faux suede and a small stencil you can use sharpi pens and design your own tiny mats.
The place you downloaded the free E books from are also bringing in more books for download. I wil have to take a photo of the Dolls house that Stan made for me. its BIG. lol. annie

I'm off it at the moment - I tried to use some of the printable wallpaper and the colours all ran when I put it on the walls. It will probably take me until the end of September to get it off!

I make miniatures love them, love them. You need...patience, good eyes, & a love of tiny things GGGG
Sue I've joined a group, which is not only good for a laugh but all help one another make amazing things (my dollshouse is in background of photo posted in 2nd SS thread). The thing to remember is SCALE. I mostly work in 12th scale -if something in real life measures 6foot then you make your miniature item 6inches- easy peasy- PM me & I'll try to help remember I have dialup so may be a bit slow in answering. Hugs&Sparkles from minicow- now you know where the mini comes in

I'll post some pictures of mine as the work progresses. I've stripped everything out and done some painting. I'm now laying 12th scale floor boards!
I have furniture both bought and made by me. It is finishing touches I'm looking for - preferable that I can sew/embroider!

I wish I had a dollshouse.... huge sigh....

I had one when I was little - got it for Christmas one year, during WWII - it was made from cardboard and my big brother helped me put it together - it didn't last long with constant play.
I always look at the lovely Tudor-style houses now and dream. I won't get a dollshouse now but dreaming is fun. I sometimes buy miniature items and I love the dollhouse dolls.
If you Google miniatures, doll houses, doll house furniture or something like that you might get some ideas and help. The USA and UK seem to have wonderful availability for doll house help.

Why not make a single room? We can share the fun.

Long ago I built a lovely dolls house with furniture and the whole deal. Being married to military man had to move several times before we retired . Alas ..poor doll house . Not much survived ! But it still holds a sweet spot in my heart .I still buy tiny items in the thrift store for "the grand kids" . only , they never see it !

I thought that at least some of you would be into miniatures!

Sonia Showalter just released a beautiful dollhouse oriental rug that is sewn on wool. Check it out! Denise

Will do - thanks.
I do have a rug that I stitched by hand in fine needlepoint.
