This is for our new grand daughter to be born Aug. 29. Our church has a baby dedication instead of baby baptisim. BUT my daughter wanted a long dress for the last little girl. The emb. is from Martha Pullen's internet club and the insert along the bottom I found in MY mother's "stash." Of course we had to use it! My mom died in 1994 & she would be so tickled to see that dress! Sorry the detail doesn't show any better.

Beautiful dress Don't understand the "dedication". Are the children then baptised as adults? or not at all?

Just curious. Good luck and happy memories on the dayHugs

Congratulations on the pending birth of your grand daughter. Made by you using your mother's fabric insertion ~ it just couldn't get any more special.

By the way, my daughter goes to church with Martha Pullen. I'd like to get a picture of her & the baby...but I have soooo many "hidden" mistakes I hope she doesn't look very closely at the dress!! Dedication is in Nov., so it'll be awhile before we have a picture of baby IN the dress!

Do you know our family? My kids called my mom Granny!! And the little ones call me granny, even if I am too young? Hee hee!! We will be passing it on to other generations. Tks for the comments!

Gerry, this is really lovely - I would love to see the baby in it - later one, too. How touching to use the lace that your mom left, too.
