Mine is in my portfolio...just mark Subject line with something like "Cute Embroidery" or "Embroidery Block Swap". *4U ><>
Darlene, I might have to wait, until the next one, but I am interested. A flower for your thoughtfulness. Loretta
Well, it looks like there is some interest, I would be willing to facilitate if no one else has a burning desire too. You must be patient though, cause I work full time and have to share the puter with hubbie, I will try to get the details up by next week. In the meanwhile, does anyone have any preference of a theme, I was thinking of summer, any other ideas...? also I was thinking of doing 5 or 6 inch blocks, that way those that only have a 4" hoop could join... What does everyone think?
Darlene,
I would love to do it, it sounds like fun. How do we start, and who will facilitate? Let me know the legistics of such an event. Will be away for two weeks but when I get back I'll have some time.
Sounds like a neat idea but I don't think I would get it accomplished right now. Maybe in the future.
Oh that sounds like fun! I would love to know more and need to know about block size and such. I have never done quilt blocks on the machine embroidery... but would love to try it. Thanks
Sounds fun to do, depending on the theme. Like to hear more.
Well, in other swaps I have been in a theme is picked everyone who is interested makes at least 6 blocks (an embroidery design on a designated size of fabric). These blocks are sent to the facilitator of the group by a certain pre-set date. She swithes all the blocks and resends them to all the people involved, so everyone would get different blocks from the other participants to sew together and make a wall hanging, small quilt, or whatever else you wanted with them... I have been in swaps with anywhere from 6-12 people. You send your blocks to the facilitator with a SASE to be mailed back to yourself... Hope this makes sense... Darlene
Darlene, I have never done one - can you explain - so we know what we would be saying yes or no to.
