Dear Anita, So sorry to hear this. I wish your daughter a speedy recovery and hope she has a wonderful birthday. Sarah.
Thank you. It's about 9:45am and she is in surgery now. Don't like this waiting so I'm using her smart phone to help with the wait. Forgot to grab my craft bag.
so sorry for your daughter. perhaps you can all make her a wonderful birthday dinner with her favorite food( selfmade or by a caterer)as if she is a restaurant. hope she will have a lovely birthday after all. And does not have too much pain. prayers for her recovery.
Thank you. Just got her back home from pre-op registrating and tests. Her surgery is moved up to 9:30am Wednesday and it will be over sooner. She would not eat today the pain/meds/worry is getting to her. Finally got her to eat a yogurt some crackers and in a little bit will see if she will eat turkey on a croissant (her favorite).
Oh this is so sad. Hope everything will go well and that she will have a super birthday
Thank you. Her brother is coming home from college instead of us going to him. Will make the most of how she feels and do something special when she is able.
Sorry to hear more surgery is needed. I will keep you in my prayers. What an Awesome dad to give up his bed for his daughter. We to do the birthday dinner wherever the birthday person wants to go. Take care and take sometime for yourself also.Hugs Cindy B.
Anita, I will be praying for you all - but your daughter and her surgeons the most. That x-ray was very hard to look at.
Thank you so much. We knew she was uncomfortable and hardly ever complains but had no idea it was this bad.
Oh my goodness! What an awful break! I do hope she has good luck with the healing process and is back going strong soon.
Mentioned to the effect of a couple months healing time and a couple weeks off work. We didn't see the x-ray when she was in the ER so this was a unknown surprise. ER doctor casually mentioned her foot might need surgery.
I took a very quick blurry picture of her x-ray and then gave it some arrows. X-ray pictures are not very attractive but it will give you an idea of her breaks.
It has been hard to even put ice packs to get the swelling down but it was good we kept the ice packs on or the doctor would not have been able to do the surgery until next week.
Oh Anita I am so sorry to hear about what your daughter has to go through. I will pray that she will come through surgery well and that the bones will heal fast.
Thank you. It's been a long day and tomorrow is pre-op work at the hospital.
