Is there anything special to know about embroidering on Satin? Is there a specific needle or certain weight of stablizer that is best to use? Thanks for any advice! Jen

Hi Jen,Sorry only saw this now. I use a firm stablizer in the hoop, spray the stablizer and then place the Satin were you want to do your design.
Use a fine needle and ensure it is sharp/new. I have not had any problems.

Hi Jen, just done a ring pillow for a friend's son. Used good quality satin fabric and 2 x tear away stabilizer. Pattern was quite dense (double corner snowflakes) and both names across in a beautiful curly font. Needle - 75/11 universal without any problems! Tested the pattern before I did the real thing - came out 100%

I have just finished embroidering 2 pairs of satin pillowcases and used 75/11 ball point needle. This was a light design and I used a tear away (med). I didn't hoop the satin as I was afraid it might mark it. Good luck with your project. Hugs Karen
