She was a trooper, got the seams stitched and the top yoke done but had trouble with the gathers and hem, I ended up finishing it for her but I think she has been struck by the bug, asked to have her own sewing basket and started filling it up with, a stitch ripper, tracing wheel, tracing paper, etc.

I hope she loves it so much, and take design school, which was my dream as a child...

Very cute skirt that your daughter has created. Please let her know that we love it! And thank you for sharing her work with us.

She did a wonderful job. Gathering is hard for an 8 year old, let alone anyone first starting out, she did great! She will soon get the hang of it though. I have that butterfly design in my collection too. :) Another Great mother daughter project!!

She did an awesome job - love the butterfly - that and the matching color of the hem stitch set it off! Excellent job - to both mother and daughter!

Well done - what a wonderful job she did - please tell her!! Also, tell her that gathers are very difficult to do and before she knows it - she will get the hang of it too. You deserve a star also!! Being a patient teacher means so much - you are giving your daughter something that no one can ever take from her!! Well done, Hugs, Laura*
