I love your idea. My 3 granddaughters live in Guam. My DD is married to an Airman. He is in Iraq right now. I can't get enough pictures on my granddaughters.
Almost like an empty nest feeling, huh? ;-( Well, the bag came out lovely!
Wow! What a lovely idea, you have done such a beautiful job on this one. Fantastic. *4U
This is so clever!! Love this idea - did you put a vinyl in the open part of the frame? You did a great job. Precious Grandson also!!! Sue
Thanks Sue. Yes there is vinyl sewn into the windows of the photograph pockets. *4U
love the bag, that's a neat idea. This way everybody can see them & u get to brag. Hooray *4u
Hi Shirley, what a lovely bag - I must go look at that site. Thanks for sharing it and the family and what a joy it had to have been to have them visit for so long. I know you miss them - but you must get back to sewing. *4U Bye, Shirlene
love this bag. my now i will have to get busy. Great job * 4 u
You have done a wonderful job on the brag bag. I must learn how to do the photographs onto fabric, as I too, am into quilting and would love to have a memories quilt. I also love your name as, guess what!!!! that also is my name (maiden). Not a common surname.
Thanks india2007. No our surname is not common - surprised to hear you had the same one. I think we trace back to Wales.
Your middle name wouldn't be Ann by any chance or one that begins with A? Then we would have the same initials, SAS. That would be too coincidental.
No, my middle name is Joyce, but I'm glad I don't have a lisp with all the s's in my name - especially when asked to spell it out!!!
Adorable, now you can "tote" him with you where ever you go!;)
Thanks, jrob. I've become one of those Grannies with not only a brag book, but a brag tote as well!! *4U
I love that bag. Well done. Any hints? I wanted to make a bag like that for a while. Have no kids :(( but, I have two kitties who's unofficial 1st B.day is tmrw and would love to have a bag with their pics. *4U ><>
Thank you Joan. I made my bag using the embroidery pattern from purplehat. It is all made in the hoop and then zig-zag stitched together. I'm sure pics of your kitties would look wonderful in the pockets. *4U
Lovely, every granny should have one. Thanks for sharing.
What a darling brag book and you did such a good job. Very nice, Mary
Thanks grammalou. Praise must be given to Anne Jennings from purplehat who digitized the pattern. *4U
very cute bag! and you did such a nice job, too! Isn't Skype great!!!! It's funny, that you use it to stretch over miles and miles .... where I use it just to chat with my nieces in the next town!! The girls have fun calling me whenever they get a notion, which is fine with this auntie!! I feel it's the next best thing to "being there"!!
Thanks kkcogle. You are right - it is the next best thing to being there. I even get kisses via the moniter!! *4U
What a good idea, and very different. Skype makes the world a much smaller place doesn't it and the next best thing to visiting!!
Thank you elenu - I don't know what we would do without Skpe. It's been such a joy to keep up with all of his milestones. *4U
Great job Shirley, nice way to brag and you can update the pictures so easily...*4U
Thank you sqdancer - you're right - I actually do need to update the pictures. *4U
lovely bag. Now you will have time for embroidery
Thanks cladenicolas - I'm so pleased to have hobbies that do keep me busy. *4U
Wow! This has taken Granny's Brag Album to a new level lol. But it is so nicely done, love it. I'm sure things seem very silent at home now without an active 18month-old scooting about under foot, but I'll bet it was so lovely having them all home with you. Cheers and a flower for you.
Thanks tolgamum. Yes, it is quiet - maybe now I must get back to sewing. *4U
