there was a tiny bit of tear away stablizier that I had floated under the hoop - laying in the bobbin case! Removed it, changed needles (just in case) turned the wheel until it loosened up and was able to finish the design!

It is amazing how upset I was! I thought, "Here we go again."
Are any of your machines that touchy? I hope this was just a fluke..... Now I'm going to be ansy every time I use it!

Glad to hear that all is well and I can just imagine how I would be in a similar situation :(

I would much rather the safety device enable - than to create a problem that I would really not like - like ruing the design or the item I was stitching on. I am glad it was so simple this time - once you get stitching and the device doesn't come on - you will forget about - I am sure of it.

The problem is the safety device locks and you cannot even turn the hand wheel. Something is not right and everytime you use your machine you are guessing whether or not it will finish.

i have the brother pe 770. Safety device activated on and and we got it going, 2nd time it's not going anywhere. I'm sending it off for repair and giving serious consideration to buying another brand. I am very unhappy with this machine.

I have the 780D and I am just about to sew out another pattern..... and holding my breath that it will keep sewing this time!
I called the tech and he told me it was most likely that tiny piece of stabilizer that got in the bobbin case.
Wish me luck!
