things. Due to 5 major joint replacements, don't want any sort of infection into my blood stream to go elsewhere! Itching is still almost unbearable. 2 more docs looked at it & now treating for 3 different possibilities! Fungus, bacterial skin infection, cellulitis OR a reaction to something eaten or around. Last one I double as this has been going on over a week. Keep praying. Back Thurs to have them see if it's better & give me the ok to go to Ala for grandbaby's birth next Mon!!

I pray that they find out real soon what is going on. This really doesn't sound like too much fun. Hope you feel better real soon.

Well, I certainly hope it's something they can clear up quickly. They should be able to take a culture and see what's going on. Sounds like you were lying in a bed of poison ivy! Does calamine lotion, aloe vera lotion, anything like that do any good? Hope this clears up soon!! Hugs, Marji

You might have your doctor test for rejection of the joints that you have had replaced. Your symptoms sound like what my sister in law experienced when she lost her transplanted kidney. But lots of things cause rashes. It is just one more thing to think about.
Corn starch or oatmeal in a bath is so very soothing. Also antihistamines, and cortisone cream, antihistamine cream, calamine lotion and anything marketed toward itch. What a lousy time for something like this to happen, right? Hang in there. Keep on your doctor so they don't put you on the back burner to let nature run its course. Good luck!

Gerry, I feared tht this might not be shingles - but nonetheless - I am praying for a speedy recovery - I know how much you will be needed in AL.
