So how did the show go - sell all those gorgeous bags kk (hope so) ...*4U
lol...didn't sell them all! It was a pretty small show, well advertised, but three hours doesn't do much!! It was fun though, getting out and making a few bucks to boot! I took a picture of my little table that I hope to get posted maybe tonight.
I really admire your work. I have a hard time embroidering on bags that are already put together. you do great work. Helene
I am into making bags and diaper bags, haven't been doing it very long. Would like to talk to you about some of your designs and where you get your ideas. Did you see some of my bags I posted? Let me know what you think, since you have probably been doing this longer than I have. Thanks, they look great. *4U
yes, I've seen your work! very nice! I pick up designs whereever I can find them...lol. I love putting together a couple to get the look I'm looking for. Some of these are placemat purses, where I will embroider the placemat and then just make a purse. The others...well, most of the time, I will just test embroider the design that I've created and then build a purse around it. I make my own patterns, so for me, it's easy to just start "bulding" around my fabric stash and the piece of fabric that's been embroidered. I've been sewing for close to 40 years and doing craft shows for a looonngggg time! I think the fun part of it all is doing what you love and just having fun! Selling for me is second on my list...I don't like taking orders, I make what I want for a show...if they like it, they buy it and then I make more for the next show. Happy purse making!
You've worked hard!... Nice effect! Lovely purses! Flower for them.
every thing looks great! Be sure to report your results to us. I just read your profile, so i see you are an old hand at flea markets. I wish you could come to Stone Mountain, Ga. the first days of Sept. to the Yellow Daisey festival. It is one of the largest craft flea market in the country and there are thousands of vendors. many people bring their machines and personalize items on the spot. Every year I walk for hours until I have to go home. last year they even had transportation back to all the parking lots. I know it is a long from Mich but people come from all over the world to show their wares.
Recognize a few, but you sure have been hard at work...good luck with the show hope you come home with an empty display rack so you can start filling it up again for next time...*4U
Kkcogle - perhaps there is hope for me??, I commented twice on Pic 2 but Hey Ho heres another flower coming your way.
This will be a beautiful display, attracting lots of people to your stand. It looks great and I hope you can take an empty stand back home. Flower for you.
What a special gift you received from the neighbor - just in time for the show - you did a wonderful job on it and this display is spectacular. Great work and I see a bit of a bag of money coming home with you, too! Hehehe!
This made a wonderful display. The purses are all wonderful, but the "beach scene" is my favorite!! Good luck at the show, I know your purses will be a hugh hit. Great Sewing. *4U Sue
