I do have a question this time. What kind of stablizier would you use on bottom weight material if the design is very dense?

thanks!

I stitched out a set of funny Christmas kitties from Embroidery Library, dense designs. I did them on muslin, for a quilted wall hanging, and I used a medium cutaway. They turned out fine. Just my opinion, but a tearaway, even a heavier one, seems to let the design kind of pucker on the edges when it's torn away. Those edges need support as much as the rest of the design, cutaway seems to work better for that. Hugs, Marji

Thank you,
That was what I had decided to use.... Did you use an iron on or sticky one?

It seems that most of my designs are very dense.

I would use a medium/heavy weight tear a way, and float 1 or 2 layers more if needed. I would strongly suggest a test out first, that should let you know how much to use.

Thank you,
This is not a real heavy material -- not like some bottom weights.... so I think I will use a cut away. It is for a pillow.
