I had not seen the post but I am going to go look for it cause I just did 5 little onsies and I had to use an iron on interfacing that didn't want to hold very well so I want some Cloud Cover! Some days we go away and I just don't have time to weed back through a day or 2 of posts to see everything I missed.
I have used this and also used an iron on tricot interfacing that is used for knits. Much cheaper and equal to Cloud Cover. Also comes in off white and black. Remember to use a pressing cloth. Kay
Don't be upset. Not living in America it makes any ordering very pricey. I am lucky enough to have a huge roll of something like 'cloud cover' a friend bought back from the States. Sarah.
Go to your local fabric store and check out the inter facings. There is a iron on tricot and it is so similar to cloud cover.
Thank you I will try it out, although living where we are in SA material shops are very few and far between for that sort of product. Sarah.
I am sorry as I did check it out and appreciate your telling us. Please do not be offended with the silence.
ttt I only paid 5.80 postage on the 2 yards I purchased great bargain
Hugs Raels
Not to Europe Raels when I try to order the site says "shipping cannot be calculated", It is a great bargain.
You need to sign in before it can calculate shipping, Iris. It works it out on the address that you give when you become a member, it is free to join and it gives you member special prices and points rewards.
Hi Meganne - today I answered this message and even had my daughter, Sandy, in AZ checking on the shipping costs for me. Obviously I didn't submit my message in between emails going back and forth.
I've done that twice this week!!!
I started two orders, one for 2 yards and one for 1 yard. Brilliant prices!! .... until I found out that the shipping was $27.85, the same for either one or for two yards.
If I were in America right now I'd surely stock up on this great deal and pay just the $4.50 for shipping in America.
I bought some Floriani Dream Weave Fusible at the Melbourne Show a couple of years ago and paid $50 for 3 yards x 30". 1 yard x 60" from shoppersrule is the same as 2 yards x 30", so I took 2/3 of the $50 ($33.33) to compare it with the cost of the Cloud Cover + shipping and it was nearly equal.
For 1 yard of Cloud Cover I was going to pay $31.70 and for 2 yards I'd be paying $35.55.
Boy!!! did my Happy Balloon burst with a bang!!!
I use and wear the Floriani Dream Weave on my pj's and t-shirs - it's marvellous and sounds the same as Cloud Cover.
However, thanks for that link because I spent a long time hunting through that site.
AlmaG.
Just checked it and postage is $4.50 for one yard.
Make sure you sign in first by going to MY ACCOUNT.
Add 1 to your basket
then on the left side of the page underneath where it shows your shopping basket contents, there is a little box to click on to calculate postage,
there were three options to choose from
2 yds is $5.80
3yds $7.10
I did not answer the question because I have no need for cloud cover at this time but I did give you a flower. Just because I'm not interested doesn't mean others aren't. So i would say continue to answer questions because you never know who you may help. Even the quiet ones who don't answer.
Bev
I have seen posts on cloud cover, but as I haven't tried doing anything that will be worn I hadn't been concerned about it yet. But I think I marked it so I can go back later and remind me! I always give a flower even if i don't comment.
And if you so highly recommend it, it must be good, because you do a lot of embroidery and I have done very little in comparison - so please don't not answer questions. You give valuable info. Thank you so much.
I had a look at it & would love to buy it but the exchange rate & shipping costs are exhorbitant for this South African!
That is so unfair and I do know how it feels to have to pass up a bargain because of the exchange rates.
hugs n roses, Meganne
Dear Meganne,
I have seen it but most of the sales of supplies are out of my reach so I don't clicked on it (be sure I watch on every sale of designs ;o).
Most of the time I stitch on felt and sew it on the shirts so I can remove it when the kids grow out of the stuff and recycle it on the next or as patch ;o)
The other thing is that I don't trust my janome...
Maybe give it a try with my nice new brother to embroider clothes directly???
Greetings, Bettina
PS: Have the same feeling when I make a comment to a question and even the questioner did not give you a feedback :o(
And have you noticed there are a lot of time when people don't bother to give flowers to anyone???
Oh ya. That's been happening alot. One day there were 7 that didn't get a flower for there post, they were still 0 so I gave everyone a flower.
I know how you feel - sometimes it seems that threads just fizzle out as soon as I post a comment!
Yes, they get pushed off the front page so quickly.
I just thought it was such a great bargain everyone would want it and it's a fabulous product.
(no I don't have shares in the company. LOL!)
8:06 am in California. I am just going down the line of posts and checked them last night at about 11 pm. Haven't seen yours yet but I also heard about CLOUD COVER before. There are many questions that come up repeatedly as there are new Cuties and are being answered many times over.
Yes that is so true and I suppose none of them think to search the older posts for answers, I know I didn't when I first started. :-))) hugs n roses, Meganne
PS I asked about how you did your gorgeous pillow and got no answer- so sometimes life gets busy and we don't see posts.
I couldn't decide whether you were joking or not.
How did I print it?
With a printer on light-weight canvas as stated in the post!
LOL!!!
I just re-read the question again,
I use an Epson 6 ink, inkjet printer, can't tell you what the model is unless I go downstairs to check it and by the time I come back upstairs I will have forgotten it, that is if I even remember why I went down there in the first place.
Three times I went downstairs today, to get chicken out of the freezer, twice I came back upstairs without chicken but I did bring up the clean washing and, I can't remember what I brought up the second time. LOL!!!!
I promise I will go downstairs later today (it's 3:20AM) and I will find the packet of canvas, take a photo and upload it for you and get the model of the printer too. What else was there?
Hugs n roses, Meganne
Thanks Meganne,
That sounds like my day. LOL
Oh the reason I asked is because I had researched getting a new printer to print on canvas and all the stuff available to make it washable etc and it can get pricey. But your picture was amazing stunning quality even looking thru the internet that it merited looking into.
Thanks for checking.
Bumblebee, Eggyannie had several posts and pictures in Projects about how you can print on fabric permanently by making your own soak out of inexpensive washing soda. Cheap and easy is the point. Surprised you missed those posts, they're worth a look, that stuff is so expensive.
No didn't miss it looking into a different
type of print using special inks that are
very expensive to help the project be washable and wondered if she had used something like that. Its print beauty, clarity and longevity I'm after and Megans
definetly had beauty so checking into her
printer and inks. There are a lot of methods to print on fabric but they all differ in quality and longevity if you need to wash an item or even creating art
to put on a wall( sunfading)
But thanks for bringing it up.
Just seeing your cloud cover thing and yup the entire eastern coast is concentrating on hurricane
Irene at the moment.
I never heard of cloud cover or itching but thanks for the tip.
Yes, I can understand that.
I keep checking CNN.com and CNN on Fox to find out how it is going. I have a lot of friends on the East Coast USA and it is so worrying to think of them in harms way.

Cloud Cover is great for babies' and children's clothing.
Well gosh Meganne, it's 9:20 AM here in Ar USA. Maybe not everyone has seen your post yet? Others may be getting ready to battle the storm? Hugs..Carol
Aah but there are others who had all day (Saturday) to see it and make the most of a great special.
Sometimes I just can't fathom people, maybe they were all busy mowing lawns or keeping their hubbies occupied. LOL!!!
