Hi "Cutes" I've got a big question. Does anyone know where I can get pricing guidelines for custom commercial embroidery? Haven't been on much lately cause my new job is running me ragged.<< more>

maryjo, it really isn't up to an employee to help price merchandise for a store - if you are not getting paid enough - you need to walk away. *4U

Sorry, I wasn't clear. My employer is an old friend and she knows she's not charging enough. She actually asked me to see if anybody on my many chat groups knew where we could find a guide to pricing. She used to work from home but has recently moved into a commercial space. So now it is more critical for her to get her pricing in line because she has that additional overhead.

Hi Maryjo! pat71896 offered to send a pricing spreadsheet for embroidery just recently. She said to email her at: pat71896@hotmail.com. Please remember to put "cute spreadsheet" in the subject line so she will know you are from our cute family. I also need to email her. Thanks for the reminder. :) *4U

Just go online and find comparable items and show them to your friend. Her selling point could be a quicker delivery time!;)

I am working for a friend who opened a commercial Embroidery and digital design shop. We also do silk screening, Die subs, heat press, and put your artwork on just about any item you can name. Problem is...she's not charging enough. If she doesn't get a handle on this pricing thing she's not gonna be able to pay me. I love the job but I don't wanna do it for free. Or take payment in thread and stabilizers. Any suggestions???? Please!!

The local walmart has a commercial embroidery shop in the store. They have sweat shirts ,ball caps, purses, baby items etc. The price includes the item and embroidery. I should think the company your friend bought her commercial machine from could give suggestions for pricing.

That is a great idea. I'll tell her to get in touch with her dealer.
