adding up the stitches on my machine! I've been told to bring it in every 1 million stitches. Is that about what you all do?

At this rate I am going to be taking my machine in about twice a year!

Gosh, the majority of my designs are from emblibrary. I have done some that have 70,000-80,000 stitches. I don't get concerned about the amt of stitches. If, I like it I get it and stitch it when I'm ready for it. I take my machine in once a year for cleaning. I have the Janome MC11000SE and my dealer has never told me I put too many stitches on it. I'm wondering if anyone else worries about how many stitches are in a design. I have never had it cross my mind that if i do a certain design I'm putting too many stitches on my machine. Do you think about this when buying your designs? Not I. I'll just stitch it if i like it.

I guess I'm paranoid about stitches since I've had a lot of trouble with my machine and they told me I was putting more stitches into it than most people with a 780D and should not reach that number for at least 2 years!
How many stitches do you do before servicing --- or do you count hours?

Neither. I take it in when it develops a problem. My emb machine is for my amusement and i don't worry like someone who may depend on their machine to make a living. I'm wonder if what they told you is actual fact or just their opinion.
