Have a week left to lose that last 1.5 pounds to meet my weight goal for the month.

Tip of the day:
Before you say sayonara to your favorite foods, ask yourself: "Can I live without cheesecake (or potato chips) forever?" The answer is probably no. "Losing pounds and keeping them off," depends on learning to balance your diet without depriving yourself, and eating in a way you can maintain. Suggested is to follow an 80-20 rule. "Eat great 80 percent of the time, and allow room for small treats the other 20 percent." As long as you're reducing your overall calorie intake, you don't need to nix any one food from your diet.
From a web article I read this morning. Makes good sense to me! And I've been trying to follow it without knowing it, lol!

Well done to you. A few years ago I lost a huge amount of weight. Once my mind set was right loosing weight was the easy part. Keeping it off is the really hard part. Over the years I have put over half of it back. I now try to eat more healthy foods and smaller portions. My weight stays the same. I would love to loose some more but my sanity is more important. I wish you lots of luck and please keep us posted with your weight loss. Sarah.

Good for you! What an admirable goal--and you're making progress. I think you will get that 1.5 off in a week. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Kathy! I hope so. I went out dancing last night and they had salted peanuts at all the tables. Not a good thing. I gained 4 pounds overnight, from water weight. But that only hangs around for a day or two. I hope it doesn't interfer with losing those other 1.5 pounds this week, lol! Oh well Now I know, STAY AWAY FROM THE PEANUTS, LOL!

Do you belong to a weight loss group? Where do you go to weigh in?

Nope. My bathroom scale, lol! I have two charts I keep track of everything on. One is a graph to show the decline in weight and inches the other is for the weigh in and measurements.
