Marg, this looks better but not good to me! So sorry to see this.
Here is the link again that shows how to put the Shelf Liner strips on the bottom of your inner hoop with Wonder Tape. Click on each picture for a close up look of each.
Wonder Tape is a double sided, water soluble tape and usually you can find it in quilt stores, sewing stores, fabric stores or machine dealer stores in the Notions section.
The Shelf liner can be found in stores such as Walmart in the closet section with all the closet organizers or the Kitchen Dept., Dollar Stores etc. It is used to line cupboards so glass items etc do not move or slip around on the shelf.
It is sold by the roll.
The pictures on the link shows where to place the Tape and Shelf liner on your hoop.
You can leave it on the hoops for all embroidery.
Just change it when the shelf liner looks worn down.
The tape washes off the hoop with water and just reapply the tape and shelf liner strips.
Having the Shelf Line adhered to the hoop makes hooping so much easier than if it were just a loose piece that you would have to hold on to along with your farics and /or stabilizer and hooping it all.
Also if you cut a large piece of the self liner larger than your hoop you can use that to lay your outer hoops on when your hooping fabric etc and your hoop will stay in one place and not move all around on you when youplace the inner hoop on.
Lots of uses for the Shelf liner! LOL

Please let us know what it looks like once you soak all the water soluble stabilizer out.
It is hard to tell in the picture if there are any stray threads because of the shine of the water soluble stabilizer.

oh Marg i was thinking the same to try it n see how would turn out .Yours looks great hugs carolyn
Well Marg, that is a darn sight better than mine. I wrote to Miems and she was very disappointed in my results. She has offered me some other designs to compensate for all the thread I used on the 6 designs. That was so nice of her she said she didn't want an unhappy customer. That is good business practice I thought.
I will try with the plastic one tomorrow - I can't believe the difference in yours and mine. What weight thread did you use as yours looks so much thicker than mine?
Thanks for doing this for me to compare notes with. Love Chris
What is rubber matting?
It's like those pieces of rubber that can be used to open up jars that are too hard when you have arthritis. I have some for opening up pickled onion jars as they are so darn hard. You can see the rubber in Marg's picture above. She has cut pieces to fit her hoop.
On my previous post one of the girls has put in a link to have a look at how it is done.
Love Chris
here you buy it in a roll @any hardware store it was made for lining shelves so stuff won't slip .I have it in each drawer in the camper it is great stuff hugs Carolyn
I'd like to see it when you wash it out, Marg. Mine looked like that before it was washed out and I was pretty flabbergasted, to see the results, after the WSS was gone. hugs Meg
Same with me Marg. It wasn't till after it was washed that the design showed its
flaws. Thanks for continuing the experimentation.
That was nice of you to try out the design for Chris so she can compare the two different stitch outs.
