Here is a FSL Doily - I thought it stitched out very dense in this - what do you think? This was a freebie from ABC Designs.

Looks more dense than the other one. It would give more padding(lack of word to use) that than if thinner. It is still very lovely.

It does have some very tight stitches, but lace anything is elegant.
