Here is the test stitched Napkin Holder for Chris. It is not 100%. I think we will just have to admit it is not a good design. I have 5 of them. I used Madeira Avalon Ultra stabilizer. But Madeira have a new product now with the same name but it is not as thick as the old product. I used a 40wt thread. Marg

I wonder what would happen if Chris, Marg, Meganne and Linda and any other Cuties that have this set sent more pictures to Miems at Dainty Stitches telling her how disappointed they all are in the way these are digitzed and the way they stitch out if she would consider re doing the whole set or creating a new set!
Thes napkin rings are really elegant and could be used for so many events.
Perhaps there is power in numbers when it comes to getting changes made to this set.

Worth a try!

Not a bad idea. After this crazy week and maybe if we get good results from Megan she will consider it. Its really not the money I like them and want them to work.

I like how so many cutie have come together to help Chris with this design flare.

Marg, is it my imagination or are other other sections with the same problem?
I had a really close look at these designs last night in Embird and I truly believe the 'edging' underlay stitches are too close to the edge, or in other words the satin stitch doesn't cover the edging underlay stitches well enough, especially on the inside curves.

I am in the process of moving every edge stitch further into the columns, then I will stitch it out again as well. I know I'm probably stupid for being so pedantic, but I purchased all these designs too and I HATE wasting money on something I can't use.
I'll let you know how it goes when I get round to finishing it, the editing is very time consuming. :-)))

Looking forward to your results.

The one I am doing has the little circle nodules on it and not one of them has underlay stitches at all!!!!!!

HI Margie,

So glad you posted, Looks like my mine, the little
bobbin chains in the back. Again I did cheat and burned them off with a pointy sharp tip from a craft iron after dried and washed, and a bit stiff from vilene. I used 2 layers of vilene, not a new needle, embroidery thread top and bottom metro poly in the lilac to match my pansy coasters.
I don't think anyone will notice and they are still
beautiful just not perfect- would not gift them but
okay for my basically one time use or very low use.
Originally I was going to shape them on a dowel with a 3d pansy on top but don't have time now.
We are having a new fence installed this week and I'm busy and oh so sore from prepping the the grounds and pruning etc.
I have been following this thread with much interest
I have almost all of these designs but got them on supersale.

It looks beautiful - see the loose thread where you marked it. Seems the Avalon you've used made a big difference.
