Well Linda, that is gorgeous. I bought the whole 4 sets of these napkin rings. Miems was gracious and gave me 2 extra ones plus a bonus Angel. I have made another one from Louise Meyer and that turned out much better. Thanks for all your hard work in "cleaning" this design up. Love and blessings Chris
Ah I see you get what I mean- you had to be following the other thread and I wasn't
specific enough here. I love the one from
Louise-its beautiful and so is yours.
Hugs
Linda
Well all your hard work cleaning this design up sure paid off.
How long did you spend correcting the design?
Looks wonderful!
Perhaps you should send a photo to Miems! LOL
Great Work!

It took me aproximately 30 minutes to clean up 4 napkin rings. Really its the steady hand it requires not to melt the whole thing. LOL
So when you say not to melt - you used heated tool to clean this up? I never thought of that.
Yes, I used to make Paper dolls for charity and sometimes you needed to clean
up the edges- I like my edges clean and smooth. So the designer of a set had a great tip to burn off the unwanted threads.Caveat! You should clean up with
scissors first any longer threads leaving
minimal to clean up with tip of a hot craft iron tip, sharp and or pointy, and
quickly and gently apply tip to thread- it
melts fast, leaves no residue or bump and seals.
HOwever, steady hand or else slip boom
ya hit your design and voila you melt a nice little hole and its ruined. Its not
hard just requires patience and a steady
hand.
PS I've only cleaned poly not cotton or rayon so don't know how well it works there- my guess it turns to ask like in fibers for knitting- acrylics melt.
Hope this helps,
Hugs
Linda
This is lovely - glad to see it stitched out nicely for you.
My concern is - why do you have to clean up something - with it should be digitized so that you just rinse it out and dry it and have a lovely piece of lace.
I agree, but in the previous thread I mentioned I didn't have time or enough of
the color for a redo- I had another very
preety one I did but ran out of thread and
I knew I could clean it up. Also, I really
like the lacy design and I have several of these designs so it was worth it to me.
Hugs,
Linda
So this is the dainty stitches design? This looks really good. christine Love Laugh Download and Happy Stitching!
Several of you cuties has put such an effort into adjusting the stitching of these designs after Chris' disappointing stitch outs. Seems like this one is a keeper.
weellllllllllllit looks like it turned out perfect!!hugs carolyn
This is very pretty, it stitched out great! I also love the thread by metro, I haven't had any problems with it, & the prices are great. ***4U! Tammy
looks pretty good to me (!!) - a lot of people have commented on metro poly thread lately. It's that good? where do you get it? Really do like how this stitched up.
Yes Metro thread works great and is very
affordable. Heads up the colors online do
not match the colors of the threads.
When I started I just ordered in groups of 3 close to what I thought I wanted-
IE Dark Med Lite Pink etc and then added
more colors to experiment with- so far I
Like all colors I have purchased.
