Lately I have received several emails that notify me of a problem with my Paypal account and that I should login using the link provided to fix it. Just so you all know, PayPal never sends emails like that and certainly not with a link to login to your account. If you get emails like that from either Paypal or Ebay you should forward them to the addresses below.

spoof@paypal.com

spoof@ebay.com

Both companies work constantly tracking down these phishing attempts. The only way they have of tracking them is for you to forward the emails that you receive so the headers are included.

Don't ever click on the links because you might give them access to your accounts that way.

Stay safe online.

I just signed up for Pay Pal and Ebay and needing help I called Pay Pal and the kind gentleman told me this can happen and what to do. I was half afraid to sign up for either but have been assured if I am cautious it should be fine. thanks for this post since there are probably many here that use them both. *4U

Thanks. Good reminder about some of the people in the world that are up to no good. Haven't had any of those e-mails for a long time. Maybe my e-mail provider weeds them out already.

I haven't had one of those in years, but I guess "they're back"! Spoof@paypal is awesome. They always acknowledge your emails. Gosh, I hope I don't start getting these again! They just never give up do they??!! Hugs..Carol

Right you are!! And when you get this kind of junk, don't just delete it, REPORT it to PayPal or eBay, so they can find the sender and shut them down and hopefully prosecute them. Please don't click on the links, because they are frauds, obviously, but check with the spoof e-mail and see how you can safely copy the e-mail to them. Great advice, thanks for the warning, Marcelle. Hugs, Marji
