Marji, I understand your concerns on the flooding. My friend, Susan and her family, live in Harrisburg. I received an email from her Friday saying they were safe, as the waters had not reached their area, as yet. She said the flooding was unreal and so widespread! Let's all pray for
the water to recede and things to return to normal quickly!

The bad weather has caused much heartbreaking situations. Prayers for your cousin and everyone affected by these floods.
Yes, this weather has been bad for so many! Thanks for your prayers, they need them.
It is a shame the ideals of a great individual like Mr. Hershey are denied after he passed. However we know the cycle will someday bring it round to what the original intent was. I hope you see that day. Live Laugh Download Stitch. christine
I have been watching the news and it is heartbreaking. I did not know about Milton Hershey and would not purchase them unless for Halloween. Being from Europe I am spoiled as far as chocolates go ;). I am so sorry for all those people that are being flooded and insurance companies are never to cooperative on this kind of disaster. I am praying for them.
Angie, thanks. Milton S. Hershey started his candy company in Hershey, PA. He started HersheyPark as an amusement park for his employees, free of charge. He used a great deal of the wealth he made to found Hershey Medical Center, and the Milton Hershey School, which took in "problem" boys and educated them, gave them a real 'family' atmosphere to live in, and made men of them you'd be proud to have in your family. All of this I saw as a child, and since he died everything has gone to greed and the almighty dollar. The few Hershey employees left in PA were told they could either accept huge pay cuts and loss of insurance benefits, or they could be out of jobs because they would move the ENTIRE company to Mexico. And HersheyPark and ZooAmerica, well, they didn't bother to evacuate animals soon enough, and two bison died, one drowned, and they shot the other one. I love the way the news release says "one had to be euthanized"--yeah, with a high powered rifle. Because they didn't want to go to the expense of moving them if it wasn't necessary.
About the flood insurance: if you don't need it, you can get it cheaply. If you're in somewhere like the Susquehanna Valley, you have to pay so much more than you could ever afford that most people don't have it. Regular house insurance won't cover any of this. Sigh, I'm so sad for my friends and family, and all the others there!
Oops, I guess comments have to be short!
That is "he founded the Milton Hershey School for wayward boys". Gave them a real family and education.
Marji, I saw something on the news about this - I will be praying for your family and all the others.
