Thanks for all of the nice comments. I found the original designs that I did for the pillar candles that crumbled, and need to decide what to do with them - possibly framing them? I love the design, and it stitched so perfectly - even after I had to reduce the size to fit my Dollar Tree finds of the flameless candles.
Will have to have a look at our Dollar Tree, didn't know they had flamless candles. Thanks for the heads up.
These will surely make a wonderful gift! You did a wonderful job even if it did take some adjustments on your part. I am sure it will be worth the trouble in the long-run!
They are wonderful! What kind of embroidery Regular FSL, thread? and how did you glue or did you melt the wax and place while it was hot? thanks christine LLDS!
I used 40wt embroidery thread, and stitched on Organze. I cut from the organza, and glued to the candle. These candles were flameless. I used Tacky glue to hold it, and it stayed better than the first kind I tried.
Look great!!! What kind of glue did you use to attach? I tried to glue on candy hearts on a candle for Valentine's day and I had a hard time finding a glue to use. I would glue them on and come back later only to find them all over the table. Kay
I used Tacky Glue, while this was wax, it was a little differet than the candles that crumbled in my hands. I actually put the glue on the back of the design, let it get a little tacky, then held to the candle for a time, and then let it dry really good.
Your "Family Candles" are really super! What a lovely present Well done!
