FSL Christmas ball ornaments.

The ornaments are actually 2.5 x 2.5. I am not sure why. The properties say 3.94 x 3.94.
Oh well!!
These dates remind me of my granddaughters. New baby girl due in December!
The original design is for a single ornament, because I wanted to put the date and name on each side, I will have to "fuse" them together when I know new baby's name. Any suggestion for putting them together?
Embroidery Library had the designs in 2009 and I wanted to add my own touches. What do you think?

Bonnie, these look great - how about getting some felt the same color and just gluing a strip behind the name portion of the ornament? Just a thought. Whatever you end up doing - let us know and also submitt it to EL for the Stitchers Showcase.

Pardon my ignorance but what is EL ?

Thank you for your comment, I had not thought about using the felt in that way!

They are very nice. Maybe you could handstitch them with some metalic yarn, and add some heat set crystals to give them a little sparkle. Just a thought. ~Carolyn~

Carolyn, thank you for the suggestion! They could use a little glitz!

Carolyn, thank you! I will have to do a blue one too! My grandson was born in 2007 too! I did them to remind me of the gifts God has given to my family.
In 2007 God chose my 1 granddaughter and grandson. I want to keep the memory for a while. It seems to comfort my daughter Sarah and her husband Coty.

What a great way to personalize your tree. Neat idea to use for a Christmas party. Every guest gets one when they go home.

Thanks 02kar! I hadn't given a thought to party favors, but yes, this would be just fine.

Like how you customized them. They are going to look pretty hanging on your Christmas tree. I probably would use the matching thread and do a zig-zag around the edges or hand stitch what ever looked the best or you could fuse them with two sided interfacing but not sure if that would show through.
