Another question. For my lace serviettte rings: Should I start layer two where I finish layer one, and so on?
I found 'changing entry and exit points' I have redone the holly in a half design for 4x4 and hopefully did the stop and start the right way. Thank you all for your help and advice. Learning more each day. hugs Helen
When you have the design open can you see any symbols that indicate the start and stop of the segment you want to change? Refer to your help section if you don't know the symbols. It will be those symbols that you move to adjust the start/stop for each segment of the design.
I don't use the program you mentioned but most of them would be pretty much the same for this type function.
Hopefully, there will be a cutie that uses your program that can give you exact step by step instructions. Janome is a popular brand so someone should chime in soon.
You might also check the Yahoo Groups. You may find a group there that is dedicated to 'digitisermb for Janome' users. You would probably enjoy being a member of a group like that. Plus you can certainly learn a lot from many talented digitizers that are generous with their time and advice.
Good luck to you in your design editing.

I hope the process is very similar.
In 5D you can move the start point (a green circle) and the end point (a red circle) in the editing mode of the digitising module by dragging it with the mouse.
In Embird you right click on the point you want to be the endpoint (or the starting point) and you get a menu where you can choose the appropriate command.
I don't know a thing about your software, but maybe you can find something in the help-function?
If not can you make connection stitches?
I don't know how to do that in 5D - at least not afterwards, only how to make one before digitising the next object and not after rearranging the stitching order. There's nothing in the handbook or the help function and I haven't had a lesson for it; probably wouldn't be a subject for one of the first lessons anyway.
In Embird on the other hand it's quite simple and I enjoy doing it - quite a sport to get as little jumps as possible.
It's those simple things that differ quite a lot between various brands. I hope you can find something in yours.
I love your napkin rings - great work!
