congratulations.........and a very good tip. Thanks for letting us know
Oh yes, this is one of my favorite feet. Bernina calls it Edge foot #10. I tend to use it for top stitching and stitch in the ditch. I think I was aware it attaches lace on edges also, but don't sew with lace much. It is great for sewing on bindings. you should take a photo of your work and we will see what you are using the foot for. A picture is worth a thousand words!!!
Thanks dear - not doing any of the edging right now - if I ever do - I doubt I can find this posting again. But I will try.
Congrats! I have this foot for my machine. I think that I have several extra feet and attachments for my sewing machines that I forget to use or haven't even taken the time to learn what they are for. Thanks for the tip! Keep them coming!
thanks dear - it is funny - if we are never shown what they are used for - they just sit there - Hehehe!
I looked at the link and am thinking of doing the bindings on my quilts. Thanks for bringing my attention to this neat little foot.
Works really well. Sew it on regular to the front then fold it over to the back and "stitch in the ditch" with the edge joining foot - comes out nice and neat on the back side.
I am so glad that I was able to play a part in your quilt project - thanks *4U
Nice tip. The edge joining foot is something I use a lot, not only to join two fabrics together, but also to topstitch along a seam.
Congratulations, and happy choosing of a new design (or designs when they have specials)!
Thanks Martine - I already used it - on some specials before they went off - Hehehe!
I have not heard of this foot. I must look out for it. Many Congratulations Shirlene. Sarah.
Sarah, I attached a link - so you could see it - I hope you enjoy it - if you have it or get one.
What is a edge joining foot? Not sure I understand.
