For 3 weeks I didn't have a machine as it was away being fixed. I had terrible withdraweral symptoms. Now that it is back home again it has been used only once as I have been busy making sock monkeys. Why didn't this happen while my machine was away. It must be all in the head????

Oh dear its contagious. I put machine in shop week
before last. Got it out last Wed. That afternoon my
son called, his car quit on the interstate. I tried
to get a rental car-no go. Due to tropical storm Lee
there is a waiting list to rent cars. So since last
Wed. I have been home and son has my car. He did bring it to me so I could go to Wal Mart last Sat.No
fabric yet. I have been embroidering, but I find that I need this and that and I can't just jump in car and go get it. I hope that ends today. I just
needed to vent. Thanks Maureen

That is another that I would miss. Hate not having My Car - Computer and my machine. Just as well I don't use all three at the same time.

Congrats. Hope you are using it more than I am. Too busy making sock toys - by hand.

How many monkeys are you going to make? What colours? What kind of socks? How many family members found socks for you to make-over?
You might have your next market scoop going on here!!!

Alma, This has become an obsession. Have lots of socks bought from Cheap as Chips. All Colours. They are Ladies bed socks. No family members looking. Just a girlfriend and luckily she lives the other side of town so we can spread our search. I really would like to find more of the orange and white ones for lions.

Things never seem to happen the way it suits us. Amazingly, we always find ways arounds these hiccups. I usually put a design on to embroider while I am busy with some handwork. Hope you enjoy your newly repaired machine.

Not using it at the moment. Too many things to do and so little time.

I think you are just normal. I think that is what happens to us all at these times.

Thank You! I am glad I am normal --- or are we all a little ?????

I think it is just not being able to use it when we want to that gets to us.
My brother machine is still not running right, after an expensive repair bill, and the dealer is in Auckland, a 6 hour drive away. I am so lucky to have my Janome I can use as well.

Pity you are over the ditch as my New repair man is a Brother specialist.

Some of it is in your head - I am going through some of the same sort of thing - with my PC down - all I can think of is what I could/would be doing on my PC to keep me busy. Hehehe!

That is another bother. Hate it also when this happens. Hope you get it all working again soon.

It all worked out - eventually.

Isn't that just typical? But isn't it nice to know that your machine is "home" with you when you need it?

Feel awfully guilty now seeing as I spent so much on getting the machine fixed and not using it at the moment.

It's good to know you can spend your time being equally creative without your machine. You survived the withdrawal successfully.

What did I ever do before my machine. Afraid my Cross Stitch hasn't see the light of day for years.

capoodle by capoodle 20 Sep 2011

I have an unfinished cross stitch bell pull. It has 22 or so stitches to the inch/cm. It looks finished the way it is I just didn't put the frame around the designs. Oh well someday because I usually finish what I start.

Also have a few unframed cross stitch pieces as well, but don't have any more wall space to hang any.

No, it's NOT in your HEAD! You are giving "birth" to multiples of "cute monkeys"!! Enjoy your "condition"!! (And, may the gestation period be long and rewarding!!) LOL
